If your Honestech Video Capture CD is not loading on a Windows 10 platform despite claiming compatibility, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
Ensure the CD is clean and free of scratches or smudges.
Check that the CD/DVD drive is working properly and can read other discs.
Try running the setup file directly from the CD by browsing the contents through File Explorer.
Run the installer in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows, such as Windows 7 or 8.
Make sure your CD/DVD drive driver is up to date.
If none of these steps work, consider visiting the Honestech website for a downloadable version or contacting their support for assistance.
I am trying to transfer old VHS tapes to my computer using hoestech vhs to dvd. I have connected the VHS device to the computer via "EURO AV1" using the stick. When I try to record, I only see a flickering image in the program. If I fast-forward the VHS tape, I can see the video. However, once I stop fast-forwarding, the flickering reappears.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thank you and best regards,

Make sure all connections are secure and check the software settings for any options related to video playback. I have version 3.0.43. Only 2 options for audio, neither work. I'm willing to try version 9.
Upgrading to the latest version of the software may help resolve the audio issue. It is worth trying version 9 to see if the problem is resolved.
